This Privacy Policy explains how Facelessly (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the “Service”), an AI platform for generating short-form videos and clipping long videos into vertical Shorts. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your email address, name, and a hashed password, or your basic profile (name, email, avatar) if you sign in with Google.
  • Content you provide — prompts, scripts, uploaded images and videos, and the videos we generate or export for you.
  • Payment information — handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details; we keep a customer/subscription identifier and plan status.
  • Connected social accounts — if you connect YouTube or TikTok, we store the access and refresh tokens and basic account identifiers needed to publish on your behalf.
  • Technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and error/diagnostic logs.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To generate videos using third-party AI models and to transcribe and clip videos you provide.
  • To publish videos to your connected YouTube or TikTok account, only when you explicitly choose to post.
  • To process payments, manage subscriptions and credits, and prevent abuse and fraud.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and support.

3. Connected accounts (YouTube & TikTok)

When you connect a YouTube or TikTok account, you authorize Facelessly through that platform’s official OAuth flow. We request only the permissions needed to identify your account and to upload/publish videos you choose to post. We never post without your explicit action. You can disconnect at any time from your Dashboard, which deletes the stored tokens. Your use of YouTube is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy, and your use of TikTok to TikTok’s policies.

4. Third-party service providers

We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf to run the Service, including:

  • AI providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Runway, and other model providers) to generate videos, captions, and transcripts from the content you submit.
  • Stripe for payment processing.
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers to run our application and store media.
  • Email and error-monitoring providers for transactional email and reliability.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Generated and uploaded media may be stored temporarily to deliver the Service and removed thereafter. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us via our support page.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
